Ultrawide monitor recommendations

Hi guys!

Im about to redo my home office and am looking for a new ultrawide monitor.
I do dev work but I also do a bit of gaming so preferrably it would have a high refresh rate.
My budget is about $1000 but can go over if the recommendation is worth it.

I'd recommend the Alienware AW3423DW. It's an OLED display, so picture quality is in a league of it's own. It's over budget, but imo well worth the extra money compared to IPS alternatives.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
