Problem with one ram slot

hi, i just put together a new build and im having a problem with the rams. When i use 1 ram on slot A ( doesnt matter which one, have tried both) the computer boots fine but if i use both rams (Slot A and B) or just in slot B the computer doesnt boot, the fans spin but i get a no signal in my monitor.

Computer specs
Ryzen 9 7950x
Asus Rog Strix x670E-i gaming wifi
G.Skill Ripjaws S5 64GB DDR5 5600-36, (2x32GB), F5-5600J3636D32GX2-RS5K
PSU: Gigabyte p1000gm
Samsung 970 Evo Plus SSD 1TB
Windows 11 fresh install
Bios just updated to 0822

Any help would be nice.
Thanks!

RMA the motherboard and the RAM, just in case. Could be just the motherboard, but better to be safe than sorry. If you purchased from a brick and mortar store, just return and exchange. Same thing with amazon.

There are 4 potential problems that I see

  1. The CPU is not making good contact with the CPU socket either because there's dirt on the CPU contacts/pins, pins are bent, or just needs a reseat in the socket.
  2. The memory channel on the CPU is dead
  3. The memory channel on the motherboard is dead.
  4. The BIOS revision on the board is royally screwed up.

Unfortunately, 2 and 3 require other hardware to confirm, so the two things that I'd do would be reseat the CPU, checking for bent pins and other sorts of dirt in the socket, and doing a BIOS update to see if that helps.
