Motherboard and memory QVL issue

Newb12

Hello all!

First PC build already bought all parts.
I picked all the parts using pc part picker website so didn't check the compatibility anywhere else.

CPU - AMD 7950x
Motherboard - Asus prime x670e-pro-wifi (which claims to support up to 6400 oc)
Memory - G-skill trident Z5 DDR5-6400 (F5-6400J3239G16GA2-TZ5Rk)

The problem is I looked at the Asus motherboard's QVL (my mistake for not looking before buying) and my ram is not listed there. The highest ram listed there for G.SKILL is the F5-6000J3636F16GX2-TZ5RS which is only DDR5-6000 so I am wondering if this will cause any problems.

I would prefer not to return and buy another if possible.

Thank you in advance for any advice!

I'd be surprised if the kit doesn't POST, it shares a PCB and memory ICs with the 5600 CL28 kit from G.Skill that is on the QVL.

I would, however, be surprised if the XMP profile works. Not because the G.Skill kit won't work on that board on those settings, but because settings above 6000MT/s are very hit or miss on Ryzen 7000. You can always just dial in settings like 6000 CL30-38-38 or 6200 CL32-39-39 manually. Also, XMP kits on AMD boards have issues with stability, so you would need to enter in memory settings manually no matter what.

Would suggest looks for EXPO kits instead. EXPO is a standard used by AMD mobo.
