Lga1700 arctic freezer ii aio with msi tomohawk z790 ddr5

I'm having trouble getting this lga1700 adapter plate to sit evenly. It seems to be rounded off at the bottom and not flat. It will not seat properly. It seems to be an issue with the arctic freezer adapter not the motherboard. Should I take it off and try to bend the adapter plate it into shape?

 

If I try to do it evenly and very slowly none of the rubber o ring washers touch the back of the motherboard. The lga1700 upgrade plate seems to be defective. Another option is to try to add a metal washer in addition or more spacer stickers so that the hump of the plate doesn'ttouch the back of the motherboard. I also have four extra spacer stickers.

I think it's fine. The rubber washers just don't seat on the back of the motherboard. I still got it to fit evenly.
