w10 - %temp%, temp, recent, prefetch, browser all cleared. Storage shows 58gb of TEMP files?!

Bender Blues

Run box:聽%temp%, temp, recent, prefetch. CTR-A (select all files inside folders / delete)

C: Windows / software distribution folder / download folder - all removed

Disk cleanup: everything ticked in temps/caches - removed

Browser: 'all time' and everything removed

Why the heck am I seeing this after the purge?!

I got something similar, think that the first 53GB value is total of all temp fiales *including ones used by the system*, but the second only shows unused deletable files

Try Filelight. https://apps.kde.org/pl/filelight/

It should show which folder is taking up the space.

WizTree here. (if you haven't tried it, do, its miles and miles quicker than that other visual file viewer (cant remember the name, its old old).

Not seeing any temp's with anything close to multiple gb's.

I suppose you mean WinDirStat.

I guess if Explorer does not show the actual disk space being taken up (in This PC) then it might just be a visual bug or a delay in data processing.

WinDirStat thats it 馃槈

Explorer shows nothing even with a gig in any temps in all places that have file sizes larger than 1gb.聽

Must be as you said, maybe a reboot will clear it.

Thanks a bunch Grand-A!
