Gigabyte RTX 3080 12GB Gaming OC -- will a 10GB waterblock fit?

As the title states, does anyone know if the Gigabyte Gaming OC 10GB waterblock fit on a 12GB??

 

This is what I'm looking at

My nephew bought the 3080 second hand and when I tested it, it appears the third-blow through fan does not operate. I plan to take it apart to check the wiring but it appears to have been taken apart and a repair was attempted previously. I'm thinking since the fan is out, might as well convert it to water cool and use it for myself and give him my 3090. I'm already watercooling my CPU/Monoblock.

Don't hold me accountable for it, but I think there is a good chance that it is okay.

Curious if you ever tried to use the 10gb waterblock on this card, I'm looking at maybe doing the same thing
