DIY USB RGB controller compatible with commercial softwares

is it possible to build "USB RGB controller" that is compatible with software like aura sync mystic lights fusion and more ?

using Arduino perhaps or ....

I can't find anything usefull .... to clarify what I mean : I'm looking for a DIY usb device that is detected by those software as compatible device and u can connect rgb stuffs to it and control them with those software

there a guy on there that made a commander pro with a arduino?

 but ya you can program anything...
