Top search bar is problematic with dark theme - can't see what you're typing in.

Just tried to search a thing. 

 

What happened?

 

The typed in search item is not visible

 

What did you expect to happen?

 

I expected the text to be visible

Was just thinking "search" in the search bar is grey but still readable, but typing in it is indeed the exact same color as the background.

Yup, I see the same thing. (Chrome 106.0.5249.119, Edge 106.0.1370.47, and Firefox 105.0.3 on Windows 10.)

 

If you inspect the search box element and disable the "color: inherit;" CSS line, your search string becomes the same color as the main text.

I expect the next version to ship in mid November. If you click the search button with nothing typed into the search box, it will take you to the full search page, which does work correctly on the night theme.

can confirm this is resolved with the update this morning.
