Adequate gpu for best performance in my "new" build

iSynthMan

Budget (including currency): $125

Country: Brazil (I can deal with finding local deals on the cards you recommend)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: MS Office, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Affinity Photo, Lightroom, eSport games, racing games

Other details (this will be running on integrated graphics until I can get a decent GPU to put in it, it's a Z170-K motherboard with an i5 7600k and 8gigs of ddr4 3000mhz memory):

Long story short, I'm building this rig out of cheap spare parts I managed to buy, it'll stay in my office as a work computer with some light gaming on the side. What's the best price to performance GPU I can get to squeeze max performance out of this rig?

I'd prefer to go AMD. Would an RX 570 work just as well?

Only the 6gb is the 3gb whilst being a bit faster gpu wise the 3gb is so limiting it loses almost always.

Also op what psu do you have? Very important to knoe because if you have a firehazard/pckiller unit adding a gpu (or just using it) would be a terrible idea

450w 80 plus bronze psu. Shouldn't be a problem unless I put a very demanding card

Whats the make and model. 450w bronze doesnt mean anything there are plenty good mediocre and terrible units with those specs.

Go for either an RX 578/588 or a GTX 1060-6.

Ellesmere cards' market price is as of right now much lower than 1060s because most were ones decommissioned from mining.

The 1060 is generally more power efficient and has the potential to perform as good as a 580 with overclocks. The problem with it is that Nvidia's conservative thermal throttling will restrict it to be about as good as a 570 by default.

The rx570 will do just fine. I’m still using one while I wait to get my hands on a 3080ti or a 3090. There isn’t anything I can’t play as long as I don’t mind lowering my res to 720p on some newer games. Frame rate never dips under 30 (60 or above on most) and and is nice and smooth. Granted mine is an 8gb model so, I’m not sure if that makes a huge difference.
