Acer Swift 3 314-43 Wifi module upgrade

Hey there,

I have the AMD version (R5 5500U) of the Swift 3 that ships out with the MT7921.

I have had a lot of very minor problems that really pissed me off in the moment.

So I tried to upgrade to the Intel AX200 (I chose this particular product cause I wanted an official Intel chip) but the chip didn't give any sings of life.

Considering that this was a Amazon Warehouse product, it could be that I recieved a broken chip.

Could it be that the Laptop blocked the chip? The Intel version probably ships with the AX200 and I tried to install both the Acer drivers and the Official INtel drivers.

Does the new chip show up in device manager? Probably would show up as 'unknown device'.

The strange thing is that it didn't, that's why I assumed it was dead.

Make sure it's in all the way and the little retainer screw is in place, maybe clean the contacts. If it doesn't show up, it's likely dead. Contact the seller and see if they'll exchange it.

Thank you for replying.

I had already tried multiple times to put it in correctly, but nothing worked. I guess it's dead. I have already started the returning process.

I guess I had bad luck, was really excited to upgrade to a Intel chip.
