Dell Inspiron 7510 short battery life

Recently I bought an Inspiron 7510 from dell, with 16gb ram and RTX 3050ti. It cost a ton and performed well with an external display. But it has very poor battery life on sleep mode. It lasts less than one day on sleep but the battery life while using it is fine. How is this happening? is this a setting issue?

Make sure there is no background tasks using up cpu while it is on sleep mode, and see if theres anything else that could be affecting it.

And why not shut it down instead of using sleep mode? On modern laptops it shouldnt take that long to start back up.

As a modification to this ^^^ I believe you can enable hibernation on computers still, so it'll save your session like sleeping does, but shuts the computer off so very little power draw.
