Asus B650 motherboard prices

Well seems the prices have come in to see at Guru 3D
The launch price of a B550-F strix was in euros 239.95.
New launch price seems to be 366.00 euros for the F model..

If these prices are correct, can someone explain it to me?
Why I am suddenly paying 126 euros more for the same type of motherboard?
The top model is 428..

Maybe some nerds want to look up the real costs of making such boards, the parts they use.
Are we getting a fair price as consumers?

Because for those prices you can with 2nd hand market, build a Am4 system.

I'm confused with the link you gave, all I'm seeing is the board being sold at 149€, isn't that better than 239€?

The link at Guru 3D links to the new prices.

Sorry if it was a bit confusing 🙂

I am considering a new pc build, and want to go with Amd.

My I7 is 10 years old at this point.

I would like to go with Am5, thus my question.

Why should I pay so much more, for the same class of board.

I like a nice board, I like a nice audio chip, I like nice options, it also needs to look nice.

Partial gaming, partial workstation, partial enjoying a lot of options.

So I would like a high class board, does not have to be a top tier board.

I do not want a budget board, just that higher tiers stay around the same price.

A bit higher I do not mind.

To save confusion: A rough estimate on prices. ( could be a bit off though )

Top tier:        300- 600

High class:   200-270

Mid class:    110-190

Budget:        50-100

The old 550-F model is being sold now for 150, and yes that is much better then it's starting price 2 years ago 239 euros.

But the New B650-F model it has a starting price of 366 Euros. See Guru 3D.

So if this information is true. My question then is, why do I have to pay 126 euros more for a same class / type board?

Surely the Pci 5.0 or the M.2 5.0 together with a 4080 audio chip, is not 126 euros.

They are just different connectors, different pieces of metal and plastic. ( sorry if it sounds a bit simplistic )

Then we have the top board coming in around 428 euros.
