I have a Plugable DPM-HDMIF passive adapter but that only supports 4K30.

I assume 4K60 requires an active adapter?

Yes, check this forum post: https://linustechtips.com/topic/729232-guide-to-display-cables-adapters-v2/?output=DP&input=HDMI

I have two displays that are HDMI-only.

My GeForce RTX 3080 has 1x HDMI port and 3x DP ports.

Is it easy to convert HDMI to DP? (it's only a basic 4K60 display)

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, 32 GB DDR4-3600, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080. More.

Yeah, dp to hdmi adapters are relatively cheap and plentiful on places like Amazon. I'm personally using straight dp to hdmi cables in my setup that are working fine, though I know some people who report issues with those specifically so your mileage may vary.

The adaptors are probably your best bet, a DP 1.2 to HDMI 2.0 adapter should be easy enough to find with good reviews.

Ah, it appears I need a Plugable DP-HDMI. Thank you!

I'll make sure my GeForce RTX 4080 model has 2x HDMI ports so I don't need to use adapters.
