Is it safe to "overclock" your GPU Fan?

My normal GPU Fan RPM is - 140 rpm at idle and 2000rpm while gaming

but my room is really hot so it reach 90c while gaming

i have to "overclock" it to 1500rpm at idle and 3200rpm while gaming which help alot it make gpu temp stay under 83c while gaming
But is it safe to "overclock" the fan?

Are you just turning the fan curve up, or are you giving it more voltage?

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

That's not overclocking the fan...

The fan is rated for probably 3500 ~ 4000 RPM (i.e. 100% fan speed).

When set to Auto, the fans will rarely hit those high speeds, unless you adjust the fan curve, or temperature target.

 

But yes, it is safe do adjust the fan curve.

In fact, that IS the way to adjust the GPU temperature / GPU noise to your liking.

It's not really overclocking without adjusting the voltage or clock speed of a component, you're just setting a fan curve of which the maximum RPM is still within the intended usage RPM range set by the manufacturer. 

So, yes it is safe. However, obviously the harder it has to work, the more wear and tear the fans will endure, which is a common point of failure for GPUs.

yeah i know it's not overclocking but i don't know how to call it lol

Yes it is possible, but you have to find replacement parts for it. Usually official or licensed service centers would be able to get them. It is rather cheap if you don't get ripped off.
