Need Some Opinions on my Parts List So Far!

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): It will be running 3 monitors: One big, as shown on the list, and 2 smaller ones. It will hopefully run 4k at 144hz or at least close to it.

Just looking for some opinions on anything that should/could change. Id prefer not to spend any more money than I have already but if I need to, I will. I am looking to run raytracing so I went with the 3080 but if that is overkill, I will gladly spend less money on a more efficient card. Also the cooler CPU cooler is very big, do yall think it will fit overtop of those ram sticks? Anyways, thank you for looking, and I look forward to speaking with everyone!

Edit: The graphics card I went with is an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC, however, the site didn’t have it listed so I chose the other one as a placeholder because it had a similar price.

Weirdly unbalanced.  Monitor the most expensive thing?

 

Motherboard shouldn't cost more than the CPU.  

 

That PSU is barely enough, I'd go at least 650w for that.

Your list has a 6700XT in it? An overpriced one at that.

I'd maybe look at the 3090 or 3080 Ti, sometimes their pricing is really close to some models of 3080.

You will not be able to use a 500w PSU.

I assumed amazon.com/dp was another country, so figured there was a currency issue.  If not ,then that 6700XT is a bad call.

Some debatable choices, old CPU, mid range GPU, with 4K screen...That's a $2700 rig really not worth its price !!

I’m sorry, I forgot to mention that’s not the graphics card I’m using, instead, I’m using an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. I simply chose the other one as a placeholder since the didn’t have the Asus on that site.

I forgot to mention that’s not the GPU I chose but a place holder since the site didn’t have mine listed. I chose an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. I will look at the parts you have suggested, thanks!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much! I couldn’t remember the name of the site but the alternate one that I ended up using is garbage. When I get home I will remake my list on pc part picker. Also I forgot to mention it has the prices wrong, that motherboard is only $100. And I had to choose that monitor because it was the best thing I could find for my project dimension & spec-wise.

So a few things: 

the website I used is garbage so they didn’t have the GPU I wanted to use, so I just chose the 6700 as a placeholder since it was close to the same price. I actually went with an Asus ROG Strix 3080 OC. Also the pricing of the motherboard is wrong for some, it is actually only $100. Lastly, I don’t know a whole lot about power supplies but the site said that the expected watts needed was 195. I thought that was kinda low as well, so I’m assuming that is just flat-out wrong. Im gonna use pc part picker instead when I get home and hopefully do a bit better.

This build is a little over budget, but it'll give you one of the fastest gaming systems currently available.

You just need to find a case you like, as well as a PSU (something 850w+ is what I'd recommend).

Trying to keep within the asus theme somewhat, since it seems like parts from the same company usually have better compatibility. There are some MSI motherboards that are cheaper though so maybe that would be a better route.

Why are you so stuck on using a 10700k? There's much better CPUs out there. Since your CPU and Motherboard in that list are "old new stock" their prices are highly inflated.

With a great gaming rig you need a great monitor, else it's wasted !

It's expensive, but from all reviews the absolute best one, and worth the $400 it costs over standard IPS hi tier widescreens

The reason I have to stick with the chosen monitor is because it fits the dimensions of the pinball cabinet.

The part list is missing a case. It is also uses a 2 generation past CPU. The i5-12400(F) offers roughly the same total performance with much higher performance cores.
