Uhhh guys i think i overclocked my gamecube

Popo576

The nintendo Wii runs at a higher base clock than the nintendo Gamecube... but same PSU voltage so i stuck a wii power brick into my gamecube and now it runs like 5% faster than it should, i tested against the game store cube and it is faster...

Power is completely irrelevant (at least if same voltage) in this context.

I use a Master System PSU for my Megadrive and it works as it's supposed to be...

So then swapping power bricks would make 0 difference, since they both use the same voltages; as the power brick is supplying THE SAME POWER.  And clocks are coded, not something you can just push power into and make faster.

So unless your old brick had bad cabling and you were getting less than factory-spec power from it--this makes no sense.

RAM different?  RAM speed difference?  CPU architecture?  GPU architecture?
