Corsair lpx or g.skill ripjaws v

MrAKA

After cross-checking with qvl list and whats available online or near me at affordable price, I want to know which is better to go with :

G.SKILL RIPJAWS V - 3200 32GB(4×8GB) 16-18-18-38 OR 3600 64 GB(4×16GB) 18-22-22-42 , got a 50 CAD price difference

CORSAIR Vengeance  LPX 32gb(4×8GB) 3600 , 18-22-22-42

Cheaper than above options.

Any other trusted memory brands which fail unexpectedly or with better timings on them???

What processor are you pairing the RAM with??? If Ryzen, go G.Skill and avoid Corsair Vengeance.

Ryzen can be picky with Corsair sticks and trying to enable XMP may or may not work. People have a problem with them trying to run XMP profiles.

i've been fine with a 5800x and a corsair lpx 3200 kit, but then again i went 3200 instead of 3600 for this very reason.

Same here, saw someone yesterday(?) I believe on the forum post having an issue with Corsair veng lpx 3600 on a 5950X and others have also suggested going with another kit.

I haven't had issues, thank God, and really just a matter of the draw of silicon lottery.

I'm running a 5900x with Corsair LPX @ 3600Mhz no issues. I think it's more hardware combinations with the memory than the memory itself alone, but there are definitely more Ryzen systems not running well with LPX memory so in this instance I'd be going for the G Skill..
