There was a device I saw that seemed cool to me and it seems I have use for one.  I want to get one but I CANT FIND THE VIDEO (Waugh!) so all I can do is describe the functionality of the thing and hope someone knows what I’m talking about enough to set me straight.

This is something of a tangled mess.  appologies.

So this thing was an ip kvm (sort of) that was more or less a computer within a computer.  It was a pcie card that had some small board computer on it that didn’t actually have a functional pcie comb.  It was just there for attachment.  The only pins that connected to the slot were ground.
Anyway, this thing would sit between your case button pins and your motherboard and activate the buttons so you could turn a machine on that was off. (So like WoL but physical) You actually connected your case pins to it and it to the motherboard.  It was powered off molex or something.  The idea was that you never actually turned it off even if you turned off the machine.
It was called a KVM so I assume it also had that functionality because it was also connected via usb,
it was inside the machine, (which I like) and would allow me to effectively remote in even with a home license if the machine was off or doing something else.  Complete control.

What the heck am I talking about and where can I buy one?

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Yay!  I got it!  Thanks again.  Apparently the product was merged with another one and they just give you an external enclosure AND a pcie plate.
