Do I have to lower my refresh rate to use V-Sync / G-Sync?

Go to solution Solved by podkall,

As far what I've read on Google, Gsync apparently automatically lowers hz according to your framerate.

If my monitor is 144hz, and X game runs at around 125 FPS

Should I decreate the refresh rate to 120hz in order to enable V-Sync / G-Sync?

What monitor do you have. Vsync and gsync run in a range from max refresh yo a certain minimum

I have the VG27AQ, which is G-sync compatible, so it doesn't really have the G-sync module
