GTX 1080Ti Vs RTX 3060 mobile

Oli515

Hey everyone,

A friend of mine is thinking about getting a new laptop for some gaming.

The game she is most interested in has a GTX 1080Ti recommended. The laptop she is looking at has a 3060 (i suppose mobile) in it.

Has anyone any experience if the 3060 mobile can keep Up?

Thanks in advance!

Can't really trust those hardware recommendations or requirements, based on experience, they are fairly inaccurate.

It also highly dependent on the game's optimization, for example horizon zero dawn ran like crap in comparison to death stranding. Death stranding on max settings looked better too.

Desktop 3060 is a lower mid end GPU, a bit faster than 1080 ti desktop, the laptop version would be a bit slower than the desktop counter part. If the game is properly optimized for PC, then it will run great regardless, worse case scenario is that they are poorly optimized, in which case the game will run poorly even on it's recommended level of hardware.

What laptop?

3060 mobiles have a broad range of performance depending on the laptop.
