Anyone used the eSIM-only iPhone 14 abroad?

I just realized there is no SIM slot on the iPhone 14 series.

Is anyone here who has the new iPhone 14 and has travelled outside the country? I'm curious how do you get cell service/ mobile data if you don't want to roam on AT&T or T-Mobile.

In some places that severely restricts your carrier choices, but yeah, check in advance.

It works the same as it always has. You buy an eSIM from a carrier just like a regular SIM.

Have you tried buying one? How? Are there any restrictions about what eSIMs will work or not work?

Exactly my thoughts. I could  rent SIM cards in advance when on a trip to certain countries which don't sell it to tourists.
