Broken internet manager on ubuntu server?

Go to solution Solved by Snowarch,

I fixed it. Turns out in netplan the wlps60 driver made the 6 a 7. Using netplan update and nano fixed it. I have a server install, so network manager doesn't exthist on it.

All ive done diffrent is install a file manager, and i think there was some update? My pc's wifi no longer works. I noticed i have systemd network  and network.service. i did accidentally install liquotix kernel and i noticed there was a new unselectable kernel installed too when i ran imiges search. How do i fix my network? All i have is ttys and a cli.

Everything wlse commects to home internet fine. I dont even know how to tether via cli. Running top says that system d is eating a lot. I installed lxdm, and jwm oroginally so i doubt system d was default added. Also xterm somehow installed itself since the update. I just dont know how to get my pc's net back.

  • 2 weeks later...

If you enter the following into the terminal...

sudo service NetworkManager status

What is the output?

CPU - Ryzen 5 3600 // GPU - Nvidia GTX 1650 SUPER // 16 GB DDR4 // Samsung 980 // Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
