RTX 4090 adapter melting nonsense, and will I be safe from it because of this psu?

Would I be able to use the 12 pin to 3x8pin adapter on the 4090 if I had a good enough psu? Because I heard it is partially due to the cables on the psu as well, the psu I will get is the 1000 t2 which I believe has thicker, lower gauge cables for extreme overclocking, I think they are the same cables that the 1600 t2 come with (which people use for extreme overclocking). So would I be safe from the melting cables (at least on the psu side) assuming I am correct and it does use the thicker cables? Some reviews said the cables were thick and hard to bend so I think I might be correct.

I will also be careful with the adapter to make sure it doesnt get damaged because I heard its fragile.

And will also reduce the power limit of the card to around 80% (360 watts), and then I will undervolt it to make back some of the performance loss, not too much of an issue for me, its already gonna be more than fast enough for what I need.

 

Would this be the best case scenario for using the adapter?

The melting potential is mostly on the PSU side plugs (not on the GPU side plugs), and only with a 12+4 pin, and only when the cables are turned at sharp angles. It is however a problem with small SFX cases for the GPU side as well, cause the new cards are too big, and  there's more chance of very tight cable turns hitting into the side panel of small cases.

I just bought this evga 1000 t2 to use with the 4090, reviews say it has thicker, lower gauge cables to handle lots of overclocking, so it shouldnt have the cable melting problem right? And its also a very high quality unit which helps as well.

 

I will also be reducing the power limit on my 4090 to 85% (382w) or somewhere around there, and then undervolting to gain back some or ideally most of the performance. Im doing this to avoid overloading the cables, and also because I dont want my room to become incredibly hot after a while of gaming.

it shouldnt have any issues with the adapter right?

Are you going to solder the cables on the gpu PCB or put a 12pin connector on the thick cables? Because if you use adapters, it doesnt matter how thick the original cables are.

Im just asking if the adapter would be fine if I power limited the card and used a high quality power supply.

What adapter? What cables are thick? Be more specific so I know what you are talking about?
