Been having a problem lately with my connection. I have Gigabit Ethernet Connection I get reasonable speeds but when I boot my game up I start skipping or like teleporting and get HIGH ping spikes here and there, going from 20 ms to 200ms.

What game are you playing?

Maybe the game server is just distant from your place

You may have high jitter or ping. You can ping to valorant or apex server and see your ping speed.

Some ISP may limit some services that 'sending small packets constantly'. You may want to give your ISP a call to see if they limit access to certain servers or services. If they don't limit the access, you may have some configuration issues with your modem or router

My ISP actually disable P2P services so I have issue with file sharing system (I can still download files from host server from my company, but I can't seed files to my colleague using my ISP). We use P2P to offload some burden from our servers, since some files can be quite huge. There's no workaround unless I use a VPN.

I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). More info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autism_spectrum

I apologies if my comments or post offends you in any way, or if my rage got a little too far. I'll try my best to make my post as non-offensive as much as possible.

It doesnt work anymore. DSLreports is on life support. The guy behind it left a while ago. Volunteer's have been keeping it alive but its slowly going down hill. I dont think any of the tools work.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

While what you're experiencing can be due to a network issue, make sure it's not something due to your own hardware. Update all drivers (especially for GPU) and run the game on optimum settings for your hardware. Do any other games have a similar issue? Do you notice the problem when playing offline games?

Agreed.

Fast.com does a better job if you expand the details.

Couldn’t tell you. I haven’t been able to use it and many many others on the DSLreports forums have also stated that fact. My guess is the servers near you are still up. All the servers I use are down.

Best way to I've found is comparing apples to apples via playing other things online that are hosted in other regions.  Since there's like 20 "hops" your PC has to do to communicate to the game server, this is one way you can highlight other potential intermediary issues.
