I finally finished my setup (well, almost).
Since i couldn't get infopanel to work, and i am not going to pay for Aida64, i am just using the adrenalin software for monitoring on a Samsung tablet via usb.
The front fans are facing the ground (front panel taken off), and the case is elevated by a custom wooden frame, covered with a fine grid mosquito net.
So there are absolutely no visible cables.
Since this doubles as a bedroom, the tv is directly hooked to the pc to watch anime.

Close up of the "main" PC. It's a little dusty but at least it's not on the desk then.

Vinyls and 2024. My audio setup is great, only flaw is that I can have sound from my PC or the vinyl player. Not both at the same time. I have had these for over 10 years now.

New place set up!

Trying to keep it simple and clean. I do wish the monitor was beige to fit in with the other peripherals and the wall but oh well.

L16_00884.thumb.jpg.85866c52bdd4d365ae6503af1680c3d6.jpg

Knowing myself, this desk will be clean for three more days and then that empty right side will slowly start to accumulate sundry gizmos.

Floor is still a little messy, but I'm working on it.

I adore how the SFF and ITX cases fit perfectly next to each other on the middle shelf. Bottom has various media formats and some easily accessible LAN and monitor cables for testing PCs and motherboards on the floor here.

L16_00885.thumb.jpg.d530a20a8c992530768e703a74d3b1df.jpg

I try not to look at the power strips. Or the hole in the front of my workstation where the DVD-RAM drive snapped off during moving. I hope to fix both soon.

L16_00886.thumb.jpg.bcf73454422f9aaabd99a325f82acbef.jpg

Now, looking at these pictures, I realize my whole setup kinda looks like ass. But it is the simplest and cleanest I've ever done, and I will try to keep it from getting all sloppy.

I've got a beige 15 inch CRT that'd really complete the look.

  • 2 weeks later...

My old Core P3 'Jessica' setup from years back as promised when I found the pic.

The mic stand I hand made from some coat hanger wire a small plastic diamond for the mic and the base was a Nickle and a Dime from the same year the film was set.

Specs were an intel Core i7 8700k and a GTX 1070

I put the CPU, mainboard and RAM in in late April. The next step is a new GPU. Let's see what the next release cycle throws my way.

And I definitely need to change out the movie posters I've owned for 25+ years. The blueprints of the Rapier and Hornet from the first Wing Commander, however, I'm never going to get rid of. I've had these on my wall since 1992 when the game released for Amiga.
