You get simple skins after a match sometimes, there is a max amount of drops that you can get. That way you can also get cases.

 

Then you can open those cases by buying a key for it, and test your luck.

 

I once bought a key and got a shitty skin, then I traded a few cases for a key, opened one case and got a gun that was worth more than 30 dollars. Since then I don't want to 'waste' the money I 'gained' by opening shitty skins so I sold all cases that I got and got about 20 euros for that, which I used to buy skins haha
