Recommendations for new 1200€ build

Other details Already have a Samsung 980 1TB NVME Drive and i want to go with (at least) RTX 2700S / RTX 3060

 

Hi,

I need to build a complete new Setup because i sold my old one. I still have my SSD, Monitor and Mouse/Keyboard.

I would like to stay with NVidia because i already have a G-Sync Monitor.

 

My last setup was Ryzen based cause at the time this was the best performance/money ratio.

But it looks like Intel is getting the upper hand again.

I dont need the best and fastest setup. it would be enough if i can Play everything on medium depending on the game...

 

My budget is at max 1200€ for the rest but it would be grate if i stay under 1000€ or even 800€ (Case and looks doesnt matter)

In my last Setup i had a 1660ti (lack of money) and i want at least 30% more performance and RTX.

Thats why i want to go with at least an 2070s or 3060

16GB should be enough (i think) and if not i can still Upgrade if i buy a ATX dual channel board with 4 slots

 

 

Im not in a hurry cause i still have my Deck and a Laptop so i wait with everything till i got a good deal.

 

I would be Thankful if someone can help me find the right parts.

You can  get a good rig with a 3070 (a very hi end model for one of the lower 3070 price)  with 1200EUR + 40EUR shipping

If you can wait (which you said you can ), AMD is launching their new CPU's next month. There are conflicting dates when exactly the new Ryzen 7000 series will become available but various leaks hint that performance is notably better then current 12th Gen Intel stuff.

 

Mind, you will be paying premium for the "privilege" of upgrading to a new platform (AM5: new socket, DDR5 RAM, etc). But the same will happen when Intel launches their 13th Gen CPU's later

Leaks about prices suggest prices will seriously go up, and CPU+board+DDR5 RAM will cost at least 750$/€, so it won't be really doable on a budget build before 6+ months

CPU is not a great value right now- I’d go with a 12400F and B660 Gaming X mobo or equivalent

Put in 32gb of DDR4-3200 CL16 and swapped GPU for a 6700XT as it looks like the 6700XT is significantly cheaper in Germany right now, it isn’t quite as good as the 3070 but it’s a lot less money. You could swap in a 3070 if you want to spend the extra cash

yes, and 13th gen will definitely be able to use DDR4. I think maybe he meant 14th generation?

After amd introduced the new 7th gen, should i get this one? or should I maybe wait for Intel's new generation?
My old PC had a ryzen 2000 series cpu, which at the time was price-performance superior to intel. how does it look now? for the rest, I will almoust definitely go with a RTX 3070, 32gb Ram, 4 or 6 TB Harddrive and 750W PSU.
