Tony the tiger put milk in his computer

Guest

Summary

Frosted flakes is having a v tuber play games on twitch with a milk cooled pc

Quotes

Quote

VTuber Tony the Tiger and his milk-fueled gaming PC will be live on Twitch(opens in new tab) this week.

Quote

The project comes via a partnership between Kellogg's and Twitch's Brand Partnership Studio, continuing an unnerving trend of branded VTubers who blur the line between streaming and advertising.

My thoughts

Usually it's cringey when companies do this stuff because it was funny there first time when Denny's made memes it Wendy's atted McDonald's to cyber bully them on Twitter.

I just hope the furry community ruins this like they ruined frosted flakes on Twitter because that's funnier.

How do we know its actually milk and not opaque white coolant? Never trust marketing to be honest, lol.

Wait a couple of days, if it doesn't clog then it's not real milk

I hope it's not for the sake of the hardware involved...

probably wouldn't work either due to the low boiling point of alcohol

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

You think they'd really use skim milk?

Vodka cooled systems work fine. Boiling point is somewhere in the ballpark of around 78C for Vodka and your fluid temps should NEVER get that high. A solid loop seldom ever sees fluid temps raise much higher than ambient.

I doubt it's actual milk... Surely it's just a regular distilled water with white coloring in it... surely.

I'd certainly trust it more than anything that can grow bacteria in it, that's for sure

If it curdles within a few days, I'll believe it.

Else, idk…

If you think I'm wrong, correct me. If I've offended you in some way tell me what it is and how I can correct it. I want to learn, and along the way one can make mistakes; Being wrong helps you learn what's right.

The way real food is being replaced by fake stuff, maybe store-bought milk isn't that far from being opaque white coolant.

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

Probably because it's just a dumb marketing stunt that won't affect the tech or gaming industries in any way.

Myself and the rest of the moderation team determined this did not fall in the established rules of tech news. Swapping fluid to something like Milk is nothing more than a PR stunt and does not advance the technology in any meaningful way.

Never thought I'd live to see a moderator determine that milk is, in fact, not a groundbreaking technological advancement
