Fps struggles to reach 75 fps cap even though uncapped framerate goes above

Evie Struggles With Life

The game is dead by daylight, I capped my fps at 75 fps and yesterday everything was great, perfect framepacing 99.99% of the time and I had a lot of headroom for the gpu.

Now it struggles to reach it even though uncapped fps is around 90.

I tried recording the framerate but somehow when nvidia recording is on the cap is reached??? I'm so confused

I was thinking it might've been related to shader caching or something like that but after thinking about it a little bit more it made no sense.

It's also doesn't seem to be related

Rive tuner has much better framerate cap.  I use it to cap mine at 163

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

You running win 10 or 11.  I've found, not the driver my games still run fine, but the control panel a bit finicky in opening up in win 11.  I usually just restart the computer when that happens and it fixes it.

Also,  you haven't got V-Sync on have you?  What monitor do you have?
