Should I swap my AIO?

Pump header goes into AIO Pump header on mobo, fans go into a seperate header that I then just plug into a regular fan slot on the mobo?

Yup.

Oh the ak 620 wins by far here for price. As for performance the ak620 will be a bit better and will do better at lower noise levels. The deepcool fans are louder since these are the cheaper ones made for their aio's.

Either way between that deepcool you like or a a620 you cannot go wrong for the cpu you have. The ak620 will be better out of the box and quieter. The deepcool will be louder and a bit worse but have the rgb bling you seem to want.

So half my fans are rattling in my case like bastards and I hate them. So I am buying new fans. The price of new fans alone is already half the cost of a new AIO, so is it worth it to just buy a new AIO as well? My current one was used when I bought it and that was already a few years ago, and it doesn't cool my 5900x adequately.

I currently have a fractal design celsius s36. Scan (UK newegg like site) has a bunch of deals on triple AIOs for under £100, or I could just spend £30-40 on fans and keep my current one. Not sure. Help?

WTF are you buying for fans?

Buy Arctic P12 / P14 PWM PST fans and be very very very happy.

I mean most sets of 3 fans are around $30-40 that I can see. But then again I am not the best shopper

Change your AIO every 4-5 years and don't cheap out. I lost a GTX 980 ti in the middle of the GPU shortage by saving 50$ because my pump leaked all over it.

How old is your AIO?  The Fractal s36 is a nice one and shouldn't have fan issues at all.  It it under warranty at all?  Are the fans loose maybe?  I have had 1 fan in 15 years make noise, not multiples at the same time.

It's at least 3-4 years in *my* use, I bought it used (without fans) and the guy that had it I think had it for a year before then. So it's at least 3-4 years old. Fans are deep cool cf120mm, but theyre 100% dying, tried all the screws and what not, swapped em about a bit, it's 100% them, if I hold the fan stopped manually they stop rattling ya know.

Obviously since the cooler is used I have no warranty to speak of.

Interesting, those aren't off brand shit fans either.

I'd probably replace the whole cooler instead of putting 3x fans on it.  It's aging.  Did I miss your CPU?  You may not need another AIO, maybe buy a decent air cooler?

I did not post the CPU, I already had a thread on here with my temperature troubles with it haha.

It's a ryzen 5900x runs 60- most of the time so looking to get that down ideally. I'll get whatever keeps this thing under that without driving me mad with rattling noise

The 5900X doesn't need a 360mm AIO for stock performance and regular use. Unless you're OCing it or doing some rocket science... any decent mid level cooler is a-ok.

I'm trying to say that I wouldn't keep using that AIO at its age, especially if you have to replace the fans.  Spend $30-40 on a decent air cooler and enjoy life.

The arctic liquid freezer 2 lineup is top of the line performance for a low price. Better than the deepcool. The ak 620 seems to be a smidge better than that aio

That ak620 is no slouch either can easily cool any cpu it fits on except the 12900k.

But that thing is just dumb in terms of heat output and unless you do a custom loop that thing wont be cooled 😛

So of the AIOs get the liquid freezer II, of the Air coolers get the Scythe? That makes teh decision easy since I can't find the scythe on any site other than amazon and I don't shop there
