Issues with download speeds...

fromfacade

I'm having serious issues with my download speeds.

On a build that I've made recently, it's hasn't been able to download things properly and it just gets stuck at a certain point in downloads. I check my internet providers website, and apparently my connection to the network is already as strong as it can be. I do want to add that basically everything else works. I'm still able to use browser search, watch videos, make this post, etc. It's just the downloads.

I tried almost everything that any YouTube tutorial could offer, redownloaded all the drivers, and yet nothing. I'm using the wireless adapter that came along with the TUF B660-M Plus Motherboard, and I'm not sure if switching to an ethernet cable would fix the issue.

Please Help!

I don't have any ethernet cables on hand that can reach the Modem from where my set-up is located. I just wanted to know if there was anything that could help me before I committed to moving the set-up entirely to check. But I'll let you know what happens when I do.

Thank you!

That and ... sounds stupid but make sure there's free disk space in C:  or the drive where that application is installed.

Sometimes the download program tries to allocate the whole amount (ex 66 MB in your picture) and if it there's not enough disk space it can get stuck. Or the disk fills up in the mean time with other crap and the download craps out.

Don't rule out a stupid antivirus that tries to scan the download in progress for viruses, or a problem with the website you're downloading from.

Don't worry about it, any advice at this point is awesome.

As of now, I have well over 800 gigs of free disk space in my C: and the program I was downloading was the launcher for Valorant. I already tried downloading other programs as well. Here's a message that I get from Steam whenever I try to install the application.

…Even though I am connected to a network.

I guess the best that I can do for now is just connect my system to an ethernet cable whenever I get the chance. I'll update you guys whenever I do. Thank you!
