Dorm room ethernet

I just moved into my college dorm, and noticed that my link speed is capped at 100Mbps. Both of my friends are connected through ethernet and they are getting 600+ download and upload while im only getting 90. I have tried 3 different ethernet cables and even purchased a brand new one and none of them have worked. I have tried changing the speed and duplex to auto negotiation, and its still capped at 100. I have also tried changing it to 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex, and the wifi just never reconnects when I put it on 1.0 Gbps Full Duplex. Anyone know of any solutions?

You'll need to contact IT most likely as one of the wires is broken between your port and the network closet.
