Upgrade from GTX 1650 to RTX 3060 no signal

Go to solution Solved by Okonsoft123,

I brought it to the store along with my PC.

At first they are confused why the thing doesn't boot on their rig too but after they fiddle with their computer, it works. So I told them to install it in my computer. It suddenly works.

I don't know wtf happened but it works and that's all matters.

Thank you for everyone that help me in this thread.

I guess the only thing I want to ask is if my 550W PSU is strong enough for RTX 3060.

I'm upgrading from GTX 1650 to RTX 3060 12 GB but my monitor show no signal and it doesn't even load to asrock uefi.

The fans on rtx 3060 is working btw.

It is working fine when I installed GTX 1650 back.

So there's no problem with the other parts.

My specs are

Asrock B560m pro4

i3-10100f

Klevv DDR4 Bolt 2x8GB

Klevv SSD 480 GB

WD caviar blue 1 TB

Cooler Master MWE 550W bronze

+GTX 1650 that I want to replace with RTX 3060

If there's nothing wrong with these, then it might be defect from factory?

If you install the 1650 in the top slot and the 3060 in the lower slot, do both detect in Windows?

Are all the power connectors plugged in?

I would also try what the other commenter said and try and boot with both if you can.

Sounds like you got a bad card sadly.

Did u pulg the port in the card or in motherboard (common mistake)

Is the card second_hand? If that the card has no longer lifespan

Did u check other cables?

There is enough space to install but it's super tight so I'm scared of breaking something.

I'm going back to GTX 1650 for now.

Yes. My GTX only need 6 pin. The RTX use 6pin+2pin.

I plug it in the same place as my GTX.

The card is brand new so I can still claim warranty.

In fact, I can just go to the store and ask for a replacement but it's 45 km away.

I did check other cable. No problem.

Anyway, I'm going to the store with my current PC and RTX tomorrow.

Hopefully they can install it or change the GPU to a working one.

The picture is with GTX 1650. The one I use to post right now.

Reset CMOS first.

What will that do to changing GPU? Sorry, my computer knowledge is limited.

It will undo all the previous settings and the motherboard starts initializing all the parts over again.
