low audio quality on everything when on calls

ive lived with it for a while as i assumed it was just something everyone dealt with but when in a call say discord call the audio quality for everything else just takes a dive is that just something you have to deal with when on any kind of call or is this a bug

Open the "old" Control Panel, then open Sound, then check the Communications tab. Make sure "Do nothing" is selected, so Windows doesn't turn the volume way down on the other running applications when it thinks you're making a call.

its louder but its not the same quality

What are you using to call?

 

Normally if you have earbuds they have 2 "connections"
