AMF streaming encoding sucks at 12000 bitrate?

Hey there, I was doing a GPU encoder test and found that streaming at 12000 bitrate using AMF sucks in quality when there is fast movement. It is pretty bad in comparison to x264, which is what I usually use. I was wondering how I could improve the quality more, these are my settings below:

For those wondering, I'm using StreamFX's thing that allows me to use AMF via FFmpeg, since the default AMF on OBS sucks a lot. I also need this to work as I'm doing Fortnite, which eats up both my CPU and GPU at around 80% util on each, so there is no space for x264.

Thanks,
Eli

Are you streaming to Twitch or YouTube? For YouTube the HEVC option is great but if not, maybe play with OBS v28 Beta?

AMF doesn't look good at any bitrate, use your cpu if you can

I only see your reply if you @ me.

I've been paying attention to this closely and tinkering with my newish RX6600 in comparison to my 3090. Things are not nearly as bad as they used to be and getting much better very quickly.

I tested it on YouTube since Twitch doesn't support the 12000 bitrate. I plan on streaming on Twitch and YouTube in the future, of course I know that it'll have to be decreased to 7000, but thinking later further with YT 12000.

Also HEVC?

That's H265 right?

I don't have that option available to me in OBS for streaming sadly, recording yes, but not streaming sadly.

Unable too, CPU already at 80% when running Fortnite sadly.

What CPU you got? Does it have integrated graphics?

Ryzen 5 3600, not a G series

Sorry but AMD is just bad when it comes to encoding video in hardware.

Changing the preset from balance to a higher quality setting might help but in general, even with the latest updates to AMF, AMD is still way behind in more demanding scenes.
