Does the charger automatically select the power?
As long as the voltage is correct you're good to go. At the right voltage devices will only pull as much power as they were designed for, no fancy cables required. If it's specifically USB-C you don't even need to worry about the voltage, because the charger communicates with the device to select the right charging voltage. The worst case with USB-C is just that the device doesn't charge.
