There are, but Win 7 is EOL and no longer receiving patches. Don’t run a Win 7 machine connected to the internet…

I do not give a flying shit about that as its only for test os, w10 is alot more painful to run since it seems like it just doesnt wanna start sometimes and i need to force it to go into recovery before being able to boot

this is a test os and my oses are for test only, i do not daily a pc yet, i only have a craptop with w10, so security can be thrown out the window cause i give no shits about viruses getting into the os when i can just vanquish them via windows reinstall

My os is literally just overclocking c2ds or for now testing 1155 boards with a damn pentium

It's really not that serious if you're not doing properly sensitive things on it. It's not like as soon as a Win7 machine goes online hackers go "mmmmmm gimme gimme!" Hell, I still have things as old as XP connect and I'll use them online, it's not an issue since I'm not doing banking or whatever on it.

That isn’t exactly how security works… if anything gets into your network, it’s going to find ways to laterally move to other machines on the network. This is why you shouldn’t run unpatched windows OS’s unless they are firewalled off.

But, also, for testing, you don’t need a key. Windows will run fine with no key, it will just give you the little “activate windows” thing in the corner.

If win 10 is not booting… something is actually wrong with the system. Windows 7 won’t fix that. It may for some reason ignore whatever is wrong, but a clean win 10 should have no issues booting.

Win 7 is not a huge deal as it’s not that old…. But Win XP. Now that, that is a deal. You definitely should not be connecting a Win XP machine. Hackers do in fact go “mmmmmm gimme gimme”. Win XP is very easy to pwn.

They really do not. It's not like there's some clapped out matte-black-spraypainted 1996 Ford E150 panel van parked outside my house with a backdoor into my network waiting for the time to strike. If you don't do sketchy shit and use common sense, your chances of getting your shit rocked are realistically quite slim.

It's easy, no need script. Just open cmd prompt and run

slmgr /ato

that will activate your Windows 7

There are millions of “black vans” driving around the extended connections of pipes that are the internet knocking on every single virtual door, all day, every day. And those are just the things actively trying to gain a foothold via an open port, a bad firewall, default credential trial and error, etc.

Then to remember Win XP doesn’t have support for newer SSL certs (maybe there are simple ways to add that support? I guess it wouldn’t be hard, but obviously Microsoft isn’t doing it).

I’d recommend giving a place like mydigitallife.com a look. But, it’s against LTT forum policy to support any form of piracy, but you may be surprised what that site has to offer you….
