Budget PC Upgrade choices

Ness1e

Hi guys

I'm looking to upgrade my PC (specs below). It's getting quite old and I though that I can spare a couple bucks for an upgrade.

I was thinking about either a GPU oraz CPU+Mobo upgrade but I have no idea what is more worth it in my price range.

I would really appreciate any advice on configurations which make most sense.

Budget (including currency): roughly 400$

Country: Poland (prices +- 20% above NA, so either take it into account or free shipping from NA)

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Some light GIS/DB, PowerBI, Excel and gaming

Current PC:

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600

GPU: GTX 1070 Ti ROG STRIX 8GB

Mobo: ASUS TUF B450M-Pro Gaming

RAM: 4x 8GB Corsair Vengance LPX 3000MHz CL15

PSU: Corsair 650W

Cooler: Corsair ICUE H100i (was thinking to change it to something quiter)

Case: Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact

The 1070Ti is still a solid 1080p GPU, I'd leave it.  RAM is good.  How is  your storage?  All SSD I hope?

Btw, AIO on a 2600 is lipstick on a pig.  Air would be just as good with that CPU.

The 2600 is a less than awesome CPU currently, so I'd look at slotting in a new CPU.  Your motherboard can support all the new hotnesses...

i’d keep the GPU, mobo, etc. and upgrade just your CPU to something like a 5600 or 5600X.

Thanks your for replies guys. It seem 5600X it is then. its around 1000 PLN (220$) in my region so I even have some budget to spare.

I'd like to swap out the AOI as well. It's quite loud any anoying. What would your recommend ? I was thinking about something like beQueit Dark Rock Pro 4 but I dont whether or not it will be just overkill for this CPU. Probably not going to overclock it anyway
