high gpu temps?

Go to solution Solved by Alex Atkin UK,

In my experience a lot of manufacturers set the default fan profile as low as possible leading temps like that under load.  Did you try a custom fan curve in MSI Afterburner?

There's a few posts on Reddit about this card doing the same thing for them, so it seems its the luck of the draw and undervolting if you're up for it might also help.

Currently having an rtx 2060 evga ko ultra and its idling at 40-45c and idk why. When i play games it reaches 82c and i dont know how to fix it. I changed thermal paste and cleaned it about 2 or 3 months ago and i cant find the issue. My case is the cougar mg120g having 3 front panel fans and an exhaust fan. Putting top panel fans wont do anything because of my cpu cooler (gamdias boreas e1 lite)

Does it have a 0 fan mode at idle? If so, those idle temps seem correct.

82c is warm, but not crazy hot for load.

^^^ Those temps seem normal, IIRC the 2060 KO is a small card (and thus less surface area in the cooler) so the load temps aren't unexpected.

Hmm. Seems warm but nothing to be specifically worried about.

Based on the Reddit posts it can be 72-85, but nobody bothers to mention ambient temperatures.
