Not necessarily. Stock speeds, the Vega 11 in the 2400G runs at 1200 MHz. The Vega 8 in the 5700G runs at 2000 MHz out of the box. The clock speed advantage overcomes the deficit in execution resources.

250 ci (3.2L) Chevy v6 in the K10 produced 100 hp and 175lb-ft of tourque. My Jetta with a 1.4T makes 147 HP and 187lb-ft of torque. Bigger isn't always better.

I often use this comparison when asked why one cpu is faster than another. Most guys that aren’t well versed in computer hardware do happen to understand cars well enough.

A 14 litre v8 in a semi is great for heavy workloads, but it's not particularly fast, max rpm of 2500 vs the 1250cc superbike that will do 150mph but has a towing capacity of 2 people and revs to 16k
