color banding issue

hi guys !

i started watching color banding on my aoc 24g2 on dark areas, cyberpunk menu, YouTube videos 4k, win11 wallpaper.

 

its something new that i didn't have before, its a year old aoc monitor and this issue is driving me insane.

 

is there a fix ?

I'm afraid monitor upgrade is the only fix. 6-bit per channel plus FRC is bad in that sense.
Or perhaps there is "Output dynamic range" at limited? Don't recall what was it called in AMD drivers. That would increase "banding" very noticably. Just set it to Full in the driver settings.

yes its at full i have nvidia rtx 2060, am wondering is its a gpu driver issue, or maybe monitor tends to show banding when they get old, i swear i didn't have it long ago.

Then cleaning drivers with DDU - https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

And reinstalling latest drivers might help.
