Are there any encrypted folders like .sparsebundle that work on Windows?

Actozi

Hey everyone!

On my Mac, I'm able to create disk images called .sparsebundle, which I can use as a normal folder. I can store my files in it and move it around and even require a password for anyone to open them. They are fully encrypted.

Is there anything like this on Windows? Or that I can use in both Windows and MacOS devices?

Thanks in advance!

You can do the same thing by creating a VHD from Disk Management, initalising & formatting it and then enabling Bitlocker on the drive. Like sparsebundles on the Mac, you can open a file on your computer to mount it as a disk, and a password needs to be entered whenever you do so.
