Trying to share a folder from my laptop with my phone on the same network, does not connect

I was trying to set up a shared folder on my Windows computer on my network with my phone. It recognized the IP and port number automatically on my phone. But when it asks me for the username and password, I gave my Windows username (my microsoft account name), and even tried with my email address. I use a 4 digit pin on my laptop and used that, still no hope at all. I switched my computer's network from public to private which did somewhat help because now it actually shows a loading icon after I click done on my phone. But still does not connect. I chose SMB (Network Drive) in the My Files app on my Samsung phone, as per the online guide.

I don't really use their app but cx file explorer. With that under the network tab I have connections to my computers and my nas.
