Dual monitor setup: SDR monitor randomly goes HDR

I have two 21x9 monitors, one HDR400 the other SDR.  Randomly the SDR one will wash out like it's trying to do HDR then sometimes it'll go back (appears to be on a per app basis).  Been using these two monitors for at least a year with no problems, just started the past week.  Thoughts?
