Pcie cables for an Rtx 3070 Ti

Hey folks, I'm due to take delivery of a founders edition 3070 TI tomorrow.

I'm currently using a GTX 1070 with its power from a single 2x8pin connector, one is tied up spare with the 1070 (with LTT cable ties 😉).

I know the card will come with the adaptor for the 12pin but should I run a 2nd 2x8pin pcie and use one connector from both, to split the load between cables?

I'm not sure if I have two single 8pin leads, if I do I'd use those if separate cables are a better way to go..

Cheers folks 👌🏻

If you have 2, use two, it's generally better for the cables. That said, with a 3070 Ti, it doesn't realistically matter that much, so I wouldn't feel bad about running just a single 8 pin cable if you only have one.
