Would adding a type-c expansion card kill my GPU?

I am planning on buying a Quest 2. I do not have a type-c slot on my computer for the link cable and was thinking of buying a expansion card and putting it in the slot under my GPU. Question 1: Would placing a type-c card in that slot kill my airflow to the GPU? Question 2: What is a good type-c slot that would work with the Quest 2. I have seen some reviews saying that they might not charge the Quest. Any help would be appreciated.

PC info:

GPU: Hellhound AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT

Case: corsair 275R Airflow

CPU: amd ryzen 9 5900x

CPU Cooler: Hydro Series™ H100i RGB PLATINUM SE 240mm Liquid CPU Cooler

Let me know if more info is needed.

Or you can just buy a good and lengthy USB 3.0 to USB C cable, Thats what I use for my quest 2

You don't need USB-C for the Quest, any Type A USB3 port will do.
