Upgrading the wife's rig

Sjpnrp

Budget (including currency): $1500.00 usd ish

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Fallout 4, 7days to die, Minecraft, overwatch, and future releases of similar

Other details Greetings! My wife has a older cyberpower pre build that she is currently using. AMD 4300, rx 460, 8gb ddr3. And lately it's been running slow and lagging. I've upgraded her boot drive from a hardrive to a SSD and a clean windows install it help but she's still limited to medium graphics at best sometimes with some lag even on games installed on the SSD. So with Christmas coming up I figure it's time for a new rig.

Current line up I've picked is:

AMD Ryzen 7 5700G

MSI B450 Gaming Plus

Patriot viper steel 16gb ddr4 3400MHz (already in hand, unused extra from my system build)

Samsung 970 1TB M.2

Rtx 3070 (watching the market for best deal given the times)

be quiet dark base 700

Corsair RM 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX

I'm up for suggestions, this is just what I've thrown together in pc part picker so far and am only set on the ram that may or may not have been sent to me in error with what is currently in my computer.

Budget is a loose 1500usd since I've got time to set back before I have to order and will probably order most if not all around Black Friday to get those deals.

I want her to have room in terms of power for future games that might be a bit more demanding than what she plays now.

Thank you in advance!

Along the lines of other posters. A locked i7 with a quiet cooler for power and useful longevity. An ATX motherboard for the ATX case. A quiet, quality PSU. A high airflow case with good stock fans. A three fan RTX 3070 Ti, again for quieter operation.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
