SRH158

Hi!

so i have speakers with a 3.5mm jack but my pc port is broken so i plugged it into my display

instead, thing is the audio is still coming out the display (Asus VC239) how would i utilise the external speakers rather than the display speakers?

Check with display manufacturer for support, the switch should be set from the display.

Maybe it auto detects and you just didn't plug it in deep enough.

This is ASUS's official support video, does your monitor have a Line Out port, if so connect your external speakers to that.

yes you can plug the speaker through the display and select the display (hdmi) as the audio output.

problem is usually the display sound output is not as good as the pc, even if you plug a good speaker.
