Budget PC for ~$800 USD?

Ky0ta

Budget (including currency): $800 USD

Country: United States of America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: I play a lot of single player games like Nier Automata and Soulsborne games and I want to be able to run 3d modeling software.

Other details: I already have peripherals and want to have a higher end GPU being that the price for them has dropped recently, I want to play at a 120 or 144hz refresh rate with at least 60fps on most games.

They've dropped, just not to $800 for an entire system with a high end GPU low.

This is about as good as you can get for a system. You might be able to go for a used 6700 XT or something along those lines instead of the 6600 XT, but This is about as high end a gaming PC as you can get. If you're gonna do 3D Modeling stuff though, you want a better CPU, so a 12400F.

Personally I'd save up an extra $100 so you can get the 12400F and a 6600 XT. Either that or ditch the case and do a cardboard box PC until you save up for a case.

About what if recommend

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/NVLQGL

12400f is a solid cpu for gaming

A recommendation would be to get a cpu cooler down the Line for around 40 bucks Like the thermalright assassin king 120 or get it now with the list for slightly over the budget

Cheap but good mobo

Cheapest kit of 16gb ram

1tb storage

6600 is a good starter card that has great price to perfromance

Good case that's on sale currently

The above build looks pretty nice for this budget... I'm not digging the Mech design on higher end cards, but it should be fino here down a vanilla 6600. Definitely get a cooler during these summer days though. The stock on the 12400F ain't too great.
