Are any of these legit services? Terabox says you get 1 tb free and degoo and playbook are 100gb free.
Anyone ever even use these services? Some saying legit, some saying sketchy. What are your thoughts on these, all I need is ~90gb of cloud storage, I technically can just do 6 google accounts and split the files. But wondering if there is a free solution out there. Don’t care if it’s like a 1 MB/s download speed. That’s fine with me.

I’ve never even heard of any of them.  I would say it doesn’t matter so much if they’re legit or not.  What matters is They’re new.  People don’t give 100gb much less 1tb away for free unless it’s subsidized somehow.  Might be good to find out how.  Also new companies can disappear as quickly as they appear.  This sounds like an archival backup situation.  If I was to use such a company I would send it encrypted, and watch the news so I could get my data off (hopefully) if they collapse.  Might be easier to do the annoying google method.  They likely aren’t going anywhere.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

I don't know what Terabox considers "Safe" but the free version has Ads. In your storage? It also says it doesn't support "high speed downloads" on the free version. High speed is anything over 50Kb/s.

Free to upload. Gets ads, gets slow enough speeds that you bang your head until you use your credit card.

I'm not actually trying to be as grumpy as it seems.

I will find your mentions of Ikea or Gnome and I will /s post.

Ads would be a subsidy method.  Not sure how that would work. If it’s free it could of course be tested.  50kb/s is pretty slow.  50/8= 6.25 KB/s slower than dialup.

I ended up doing the google method. Was annoying but worked in the end for me.

Thanks!
